As soon as the news about opening for Papa Roach reached us, the excitement within the band shot up. Unfortunately, Marko’s holiday plans didn’t include sharing a stage with or hanging out with Papa Roach, which meant someone else had to look for the bass input on our monitoring system. Luckily, our buddy Eugen stepped in, found where the bass should be plugged in and played the show with us.
Since the band members travel from multiple locations both within and outside Croatia, we were slightly concerned about the traffic due to the peak of the tourist season. And our concerns proved valid, since we arrived 10 minutes before soundcheck having been stuck in traffic most of the way.
Nevertheless, the stage looked awesome and featured the biggest Kryn logo yet! Soundcheck went well, and as we had dinner we were very excited to hit the stage.

As the crowd began to gather, we started with our short set and immediately felt comftortable. The show went on and the crowd was growing with every song, as well as their (and our) energy. The show ended and we forgot to pose for an incredibly unique and previosuly unseen photo with the crowd in the background, mostly because we had to clear the stage as soon as possible.

We stayed to watch the Papa Roach show, not only because the crowd was blocking the path to where our van was parked, but because the show is a must-see for any rock/metal fan. The energy was out of this world and the show as a whole inspired us to keep moving forward.
After the show, we were invited to meet the band. This was a highlight for most of us, as they are awesome individuals who, at some point, walked the same path we’re currently on. So lots of things to talk about, especially after drinking their fridge dry. There was also time for very nerdy gear talk!

Fun things ended and for some of us the reality was an upcoming 4 hour trip back home. Gave us some time to reflect on our experience and assess the positive impact this will surely have on us.
Thank you to everyone involved, event organisers, our lovely crew and friends (Nika, Eugen, Peter, Dino, Vigo, Hrci, Ivica, Toni, Irma) and Papa Roach!
